Where We Travel
We're based at 1010 Garth Brooks Blvd in Yukon and work the doors on this side of the metro. That covers Surrey Hills just 5 miles to the NNE, and runs out to Bethany (7 mi), Warr Acres (8 mi), Mustang (9 mi), Piedmont (11 mi), El Reno (11 mi), and Union City (11 mi). We also take calls from The Village (12 mi), Nichols Hills (13 mi), Tuttle (14 mi), Minco (18 mi), Forest Park (18 mi), Okarche (18 mi), and Del City (19 mi), though the farther out you are, the more a job depends on our schedule that day.
Distance matters for quotes because it changes what we can do same-day versus what needs a planned visit. A spring swap five minutes from the shop is a different conversation than a full opener install out past Minco. When you call, tell us where you are - it helps us give you a realistic window instead of a guess.
We don't claim to know every street in every one of these towns. What we do know is the housing stock that's common across this part of the metro, and that's what shapes most of the quotes we write.
Work We Turn Down
We work on residential garage doors - springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, openers, and the hardware that holds all of it together. That's the job. What we won't do is quote a fixed price sight-unseen for anything that involves a bent track out of alignment, a door that's been hit by a vehicle, or a frame that's shifted with the house. Those need eyes on the opening before a number means anything, because the fix might be a bracket or it might be the whole section.
Same goes for custom or oversized doors. A lot of homes in this area were built between 1959 and 1999, with the bulk going up in the 1960s and 70s, and plenty of those openings were framed to non-standard sizes that don't match what's on the shelf today. We can give you a rough range over the phone, but the real number comes after we measure.
We also won't tell you a repair will hold if it won't. Sometimes the honest quote is for a new door, not a patched one, and we'll say so even if it's not what you called expecting to hear.
The Short Version
An accurate quote needs a few things from you: the age of the house if you know it, what the door is doing right now - won't open, makes noise, hangs crooked, opener runs but door doesn't move - and a photo if you can manage one. That alone gets us most of the way to a real number instead of a range.
What we can't price without seeing the door: anything involving a bent track, a damaged panel, or an opening that looks off-square. Winters here sit in the cold-moderate band, which affects what weatherstripping and insulated sections we'd recommend, but it doesn't change the labor - so climate talk is secondary to just looking at the thing.
Call (405) 337-9845 and tell us where you are and what the door's doing. If it's a straightforward spring or cable job, we can often give you a number on the call. If it's a panel, an opener install, or anything structural, we'll set a time to come look before we commit to a figure.
Frequently asked questions
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For common jobs like a broken torsion spring, a cable off the drum, or a noisy roller, usually yes - those parts and labor are predictable. For bent track, panel damage, or anything that looks structural, we need to see the door before we quote, because the real cause isn't always what it looks like from inside the garage.
Do you come out to Mustang or El Reno?
Yes, both are within our service area - Mustang is about 9 miles from our shop and El Reno about 11. We also cover Bethany, Warr Acres, Piedmont, Union City, and several towns farther out. Call and give us your location and we'll tell you what scheduling looks like that week.
Why does the age of my house matter for a quote?
A lot of homes in this part of the metro were built between 1959 and 1999, and door openings, track hardware, and spring sizing from that era don't always match what's stocked today. Knowing roughly when the house was built helps us guess at what we're dealing with before we even arrive.
What if my door can't be fixed, only replaced?
That happens, and we'll tell you straight if it's the case rather than patch something that won't hold. It usually comes up with older panel sections that are cracked or rusted through, or openers paired with hardware that's past matching. We'd rather quote the honest job than a repair that fails again in a month.
